A man wanted by police has turned himself in to the authorities.

A search for Coltrane Ratteray began on Thursday after he failed to appear before the courts on an outstanding matter. A warrant for his arrest was issued and police issued a public appeal for information.

But the manhunt was called off after Mr Ratteray turned himself in to the Hamilton Police Station yesterday morning.

The spokesman added that “a court appearance is anticipated in due course”.
