On the local exchange, One Communications Ltd improved by 15 cents, or 4.3 per cent, to $3.65 after 11,700 of its shares were traded.

There was also trading in 2,090 shares of HSBC Holdings Ltd, but with no change to the closing price of $8.20.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 16.62 points, or 0.79 per cent, at 2,136.98, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 3.62 points, or 0.22 per cent, at 1,669.87.
