Shares of Butterfield Bank gained in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The bank advanced 30 cents, or 0.9 per cent, to close on $33.50 as 6,991 shares changed hands.

Butterfield’s US-listed shares gained 13 cents, or 0.38 per cent, to close on $33.97 on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index climbed 13.49 points, or 0.63 per cent, to close on 2,153.9.

BSX trading volume was 6,991 shares and turnover totalled $232,568.50.

The BSX Insurance Index added 3.29 points, or 0.2 per cent, to close on 1,624.14.

In a regulatory filing with the BSX, One Communications Ltd revealed that Wilson & Co has beneficial interest in 5,168,790 shares in the company representing approximately 12 per cent of One’s issued share capital, after the consolidation of existing shareholdings.
