The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged on 2,139.23 as no shares traded.

Butterfield Bank did trade on the New York Stock Exchange, with its US-listed shares gaining 34 cents, or 0.97 per cent, to close on $35.40.

The BSX Insurance Index fell 0.32 of a point to close on 1,476.29.
