Bermuda girls set for Trinidad challenge

Bermuda’s Under-14 girls’ team will play Trinidad and Tobago today in the consolation play-off semi-finals of the WJR World Team Junior Tennis competition in Dominican Republic.
The team of Jae Gibbons, Asia-leigh Hollis and Kumani Jackson, who finished bottom of group A after losing both their matches to Guatemala and Honduras, received a bye in the quarter-final play-off round for ninth to thirteenth place teams.
Trinidad, who finished bottom of group D, wrapped up their win over Bahamas by winning their two singles matches yesterday. Curaçao will meet Surinam in the other semi-final today after both had byes yesterday. Curaçao finished third in group D and Surinam bottom of group B.
