Pupils and their families at Saltus Grammar School raised more than $100,000 for cancer research at the St Baldrick’s event today.
The school has now raised more than $1.5 million in 12 years through the annual head-shaving fundraiser.
Head of School Deryn Lavell said: “It’s an unbelievable achievement. I am extremely proud of everyone who took part and I want to say a huge thank you to all those who volunteered to make this happen.
“It has become established as an annual event at the school and I hope that in some small way, we are helping in the battle against childhood cancers.”
According to the St Baldrick’s website, the school raised $102,000, passing its $100,000 goal.
