There was a structural fire in Somerset in the early hours of this morning.

At about 3.15am, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service received the call and on arrival at an Acadia Lane residence, firefighters noticed flames coming from a downstairs laundry.

They were able to extinguish the fire but the home received smoke damage throughout.

The fire is now under investigation.
