A pregnant motorcyclist and her child passenger were injured after a collision with a police car this morning.

The 34-year-old woman and the seven-year-old boy were rushed to hospital.

Their injuries were said not to be serious and they were later discharged.

The woman police officer driving the car was unhurt.

The collision happened on St David’s Road in St George’s near Southside Police Station about 7.45am.

Crash investigators have completed examination of the scene and inquiries continue.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
