A senior pedestrian struck by a car yesterday outside the Quickie Lickie Laundromat in Hamilton off Serpentine Road is reported by police to be stable in a general ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

A police spokesman said the 83-year-old man, from Hamilton Parish, was walking on the sidewalk at about 11am when he was hit by a car being driven out of the parking lot.

Meanwhile, a 62-year-old man seriously injured on Thursday while walking on North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish near Trinity Church Road, was said to be stable in the Intensive Care Unit.

The pedestrian was apparently struck by a car around 3pm.
