Two arrested after home invasion stabbing

Two men have been arrested after a resident was stabbed in a home invasion, police have confirmed.The victim was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for a stab wound to the shoulder, following yesterday's armed invasion.According to police, the incident took place at a Pembroke home around 1am.Said a spokesman: "Reports indicate that a man armed with a bladed article and what was reported as a firearm broke into the dwelling and assaulted one of the occupants, who was subsequently taken to the hospital with a laceration to the shoulder. The victim was treated and later released."As a result of this incident two Pembroke men were arrested very soon after near the scene and a firearm was seized."Anyone with information is asked to contact Inspector Barry Richards of the Central Investigation Unit on 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
