Family Centre to hold annual Beach Bash

Event venue: Fairmont Southampton Ocean Club hosts charity fundraiser

Family Centre has invited the public to enjoy music on the sand at its annual Beach Bash fundraiser.

The event, which is the charity’s largest annual fundraiser, will be held at the Fairmont Southampton Ocean Club on September 15 and will feature a range of musical talent, a silent auction and a raffle to support the charity’s work to help families.

A spokeswoman for the charity said: “The funds raised through the Beach Bash are absolutely critical in allowing Family Centre to continue running our vital programs and services.”

The spokeswoman added this year’s event will feature a pink flamingo theme, so guests should prepare to “party in pink”.

Working Title, the B Sharps, One SOULution and the Warwick Academy Primary Choir are all set to perform, with Patrina “Power Girl” O’Connor, as emcee.

Guests will also enjoy a free welcome drink from Gosling’s or Ashley’s Lemonade, along with a barbecue on the beach.

Martha Dismont, executive director of the centre, said: “Without the generous support of community partnerships and sponsors, this event could never take place.

She thanked Mike Collins, of trust company Argonaut, the main sponsor of the event, for his help to “make sure this is a very special event”.

Ms Dismont added: “We look forward to a magical evening on behalf of Bermuda’s children.”

Seats for the event cost $250 and are available now. For more information, or to reserve seats, call 232-1116 or e-mail info@tfc.prevention.bm
