BIBA announces new chairman
election of a new chairman.
Winchester Global Trust president Mr. Tom Davis succeeds Bank of Bermuda senior vice president (executive management) Mr. Cummings Zuill who completed his two-year term yesterday.
The announcement was made at the association's annual general meeting. BF&M Ltd. president and CEO Mr. Glenn Titterton, in line to assume the chairmanship, was unable to do so because of business commitments, BIBA said.
Mr. Titterton will remain active in the association as a member of the board of directors and on several BIBA committees.
BIBA's chairman is chosen on a rotational basis from one of four membership classes; banking, accounting, legal and administrative.
At the AGM, BIBA members also elected its executive committee which includes; Mrs. Dianna Kempe of Appleby, Spurling & Kempe; Mr. Stephen Kempe of the Bank of Butterfield; and Mr. Jan Spiering of Kempe & Whittle. Secretary is Mr.
Michael Jones of Cox & Wilkinson while treasurer is Mr. David Boden of Anfossi & Butterfield.
Other directors elected yesterday were; Mr. Michael Collins, with Argonaut Ltd.; Mr. David Cooper, with Hallett, Whitney & Patton; Mr. Dudley Cottingham, with Arthur Morris, Christensen & Co.; Mr. John Ellison, with Conyers, Dill & Pearman; Ms Audette Exel, with Bermuda Commercial Bank; Mr. Michael Hardy, with Argus International; Mr. Scott Hunter, with Scott Hunter & Co.; Mr. Peter Martin, with Mello, Hollis, Jones & Martin; Mr. Raymond Madeiros, with Cooper & Lines; Mr. Bob Richards, with Bermuda Asset Management; and Mr. Barry Shailer, with the Bank of Bermuda.
