Oscar, not a threat, becomes hurricane

Huricane Oscar is expected to deliver rough seas to the island this week.
However the storm is not a threat to the island, according to the Bermuda Weather Service.
As of 6pm today, Oscar lay about 722 miles east southeast of Bermuda, and its closest point of approach in the next 72 hours was expected to be 461 miles to our east at 8am on Tuesday.
The storm today packed winds of 74mph.
A Small Craft Warning was expected to remain in effect through Tuesday night.
