A community constable in the west of the island is to hold a clinic at the weekend.

PC Valerius Jean Louis, a member of the Sandys Community Action Team, will set up shop in the car park at the Somerset branch of supermarket MarketPlace.

The clinic will be held on Saturday between noon and 3pm.

A police spokesman said the event was a chance for the public to meet and get to know their local officers as well as get crime prevention advice and raise problems in their neighbourhoods,
