More than 40 families attended a Family Centre Golf Day at the Turtle Hill Golf Club.

Organisers said they wanted to introduce young people to the sport in a fun and safe setting.

Activities included golf lessons, footgolf, pizza dinner and night golf putting contest.

Paul Adams of Turtle Hill Golf Club, who coordinated the event with Family Centre, said: “This is an opportunity for Turtle Hill and Fairmont Southampton to give back to the community.

“We hope this was a treasured family memory and an inspiration to take up golf, which offers the unique ability to get the whole family outside doing an activity that they can all participate in.”

Sponsors included Tokio Millenium, Turtle Hill Golf Club, Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda PGA, Undercover Tents, Barritt’s and Butterfield and Vallis.
