Get checked up at Health Fair

Adventist Church will host a Health Fair entitled `Know Your Body' this Sunday, April 11.The event will get underway at 2 p.m. and continue until 5 p.m. in the school's gym.

The event will get underway at 2 p.m. and continue until 5 p.m. in the school's gym.

Cholesterol and blood pressure testing and parenting, nutrition and exercise tips will be distributed.

*** The National Dance Theatre of Bermuda offers locals an exciting new concept, a different dance class every month.

April is ballet month and starting today Dena Abbott will instruct the classes.

Ballet classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 8.15 p.m.

*** The Bermuda College will host a Spring Story Time for youngsters between the ages of five and 12 this Saturday. The Story Time will take place in the Faculty Lounge in the West Hall from 2 to 4 p.m.

Children are invited to listen and participate in a story telling and reading fun time.

*** An exhibition of `New Age' art by Don Trousdell, creator of the Bermuda Festival Poster Original `Night Songs', will take place this weekend in St.

George's.

The exhibition will showcase a collection of original works in mixed media featuring the Bermuda Festival Original and its companion pieces, as well as other paintings and sketches of Bermuda's unique flora and fauna.

The `Secret Worlds' exhibition gets underway on Thursday and continues until Monday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. days and 6 to 10 p.m. evenings.

A percentage from the sale of the paintings will go to the St. George's Historical Society.

*** Next week is National Library Week and the Bermuda Youth Library is inviting parents, teachers, caregivers and children to celebrate the event by visiting the library and taking advantage of all the free services they offer.

Teachers and parents who are not a member are urged to join and those inactive members are encouraged to return and enjoy all the new materials.

On Saturday, April 17, there will be a library story time for young children at 11 a.m. followed by a tour of the library.

Parents must register their children for the story time hour as space is limited. For more information 295-0487.
