Fire Safety Awareness Week is to start on Monday.

The theme of this year’s event is “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware fire can happen anywhere.”

A spokesman for the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service said: “We look forward to sharing this time in coming together with regard to public awareness and safety.”

He said that this year marked the first time Fire Safety Awareness Week and Police Week had been held at the same time.

The spokesman added the week will include “plenty of educational displays and shows”.
