Roadside sobriety checks set for weekend
Roadside breath test checkpoints will be set up for the second time this weekend, police warned yesterday.
The checkpoints in Devonshire and Paget, gazetted last Friday, will be in force on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The first set of checks ran from September 21 to 23 in the same parishes.
Police also reminded the public about a community meeting to be held tomorrow for residents on Devonshire’s Friswells Road.
The meeting is scheduled for 6pm to 7pm at the National Stadium Pavilion in Devonshire.
Topics to be discussed include the revitalisation of the neighbourhood watch scheme and crime trends in the area, as well as community awareness and responsibility.
