Ingham and Skidmore vie for MO title

Tournament medallist Jonathon Ingham booked his place in this year's final of the Mid Ocean Club Men's Invitational with a 4 and 3 victory over Daniel Ezekiel yesterday.

He now takes on Baltimore's Scott Skidmore who defeated Kevin Comeau in yesterday's other semi-final match.

Ingham was only one-up after 10 holes but then made his move on the back nine.

Today's Championship Consolation final sees John Layfield play David Ezekiel as both advanced with 4 and 3 victories. Keith Cooper from Massachusetts will take on Robert O'Brien in the Open First Flight final.

O'Brien, who won the 2008 Invitation, got by Thomas Vozzella in quick fashion, finishing the match on the 13th hole, recording a 7and 6 win.

Peter Sanders has the chance to capture his third straight Senior Championship title as he beat past Bob McMenimon from Massachusetts 3 and 2. Sanders takes on Alan Anthony from Maryland in today's final.

Art Beamis meets Don Airey in the Senior Championship Consolation and in the Senior First Flight, Canadian Sandy Miller, a one-up victor over Butch Katski, will play local Mid Ocean member John Rayner, who defeated James Werry, also from Canada, 4 and 3.

In the Super Senior Championship flight Tom Stearns, who now plays out of Florida, will play Canadian Michael Kluthe in the final.
