Butterfield Bank shares edged higher in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The bank gained ten cents, or 0.2 per cent, to close on $51.25 as 1,000 shares traded.

In New York, Butterfield’s US-listed shares fell 12 cents, or 0.2 per cent, to close on $51.73.

BF&M was the only other issuer to trade on the BSX. The insurer remained unchanged on $17.15 as 1,000 shares changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index added 4.5 points, or 0.16 per cent, to close on 2,880.61. Trading volume was 2,000 shares and turnover totalled $68,400.

The BSX Insurance Index fell 11.28 points, or 0.66 per cent, to close on 1,695.16.
