Boat Parade to make its return
The City of Hamilton will be hosting the 2018 Bermuda Christmas Boat Parade on Saturday, December 8.
The corporation committed to taking over the organisation and execution of the parade which will remain under the remit of the Bermuda Boat Parade Charity.
The parade was cancelled last year owing to a lack of entries and fireworks.
The City of Hamilton is calling on anyone interested in participating to sign up their boats no later than October 26.
The first 40 boats to sign up and participate in the parade will receive vouchers worth at least $200.
There will be numerous prizes to be won in the following categories: Best Overall Boat; Best Corporate; Best Commercial; Best Non-profit; Best Community Message; Most Original; People’s Choice; Best Sailboat; Best Traditional Christmas Message; Best Crew Costumes; Best Use of Lights; Best Use of Building Materials; Most Humorous; Children’s Choice and Best Power Boat.
Registration forms are available at City Hall’s offices or can be downloaded from website under the Explore Hamilton/Event Calendar tab. You may also e-mail the City at info@cityhall.bm to request an electronic copy of the entry form and for more information.
Entry into the viewing village at Number 1 Car Park will be free of charge.
