Coaches offered ‘intro’ course

Bermuda Football Coaches Association president Richard Todd

The Bermuda Football Coaches Association will offer another Intro to Coaching Course to enable club coaches who need to meet the licensing standards for the new season.

It will follow on from the first course in June, where 35 candidates successfully completed the classroom and field sessions.

The course is designed using the same Uefa Licensing standards as the C Licence course. It serves as the entry point for the BFCA’s coaching education pathway.

The curriculum is developed by Jacques Crevoisier, a former Liverpool assistant coach, and is delivered over two weekends, with instruction led by Uefa B qualified coach educators from the BFCA. It includes classroom and on-field sessions, as well as individual assessments.

The course is sanctioned by the Bermuda Football Association and helps qualify candidates to receive the D licence, required to coach at under-7, under-9, and under-11 age levels.

Candidates will also have to complete the first aid and Scars training modules independently, in addition to the course, to be eligible for the D License certification.

It will be the final opportunity this year for coaches who need to complete the course.

Registration forms can be returned via e-mail to coacheducation@bfca.bm or submitted to the BFA office for collection by the BFCA. For more information or questions related to the course, contact Richard Todd via e-mail at coacheducation@bfca.bm or by phone at 337-1120.
