Hamilton Princess and Beach Club has kept things local with the design and supply of new outfits for its beach club and pool staff.

The hotel’s servers at the swimming pool and beach club are now decked out in shorts created by Bermuda’s TABS, and featuring designs by Bermudian artist Graham Foster.

The hotel servers wear TABS’ reefline blue boater shorts, while the beach club attendant have TABS’ swim shorts.

All of the shorts feature the brand’s distinctive ‘Step Into Summer’ linings which have colourful patterns or designs by Mr Foster. The shorts are accompanied with white polo shirts which feature the logo of the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club.

TABS, which stands for The Authentic Bermuda Shorts, has its flagship store on Reid Street. The business was founded by Rebecca Singleton. Its stated mission is to reclaim the Bermuda short as a fashion statement.

Tim Morrison, general manager at Hamilton Princess and Beach Club, said the hotel was proud to support local businesses such as TABS. He said: “Their Bermuda shorts design is a classic and we are pleased to be able to showcase this Bermuda tradition to our guests.”

Ms Singleton, chief executive officer of TABS, said: “We are proud to be kitting out the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club staff in Bermuda style. Thank you to the hotel for supporting local business.”
