Squash juniors in Jamaica

Bermuda’s national squash team are in Jamaica to compete in the Junior Caribbean Squash Champions from July 19 to 27.The boys’ team managed a third place finish behind Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago last year while the girls will look to improve on their performances in 2011 as the Bermuda team place fourth overall.This year’s team is comprised of Olivia Lindsey, Dylan Pratt, Tiye Williams, Ryan Hopkins, Emma Keane, D’Vario Thompson, Alex Marshall, Noah Browne, Alyssa Brewer and Beau Orchard.The Bank of Bermuda Foundation is supporting the team in the Caribbean Championships as well as the team’s trip to the Canadian Junior Open which will be held in December in Niagara-on-the-lake, Ontario.The junior programme at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association (BSRA) also hold an annual squash-a-thon as a fundraiser for both trips.
