Shares of BF&M Ltd rose 65 cents, or 3.8 per cent, to $17.75 after 400 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Somers Limited dropped $1.70, or 10 per cent, to $15.25 after 200 shares were exchanged, while Argus Group slipped five cents, or 1.3 per cent, to $3.80 after 5,100 shares changed hands.

A total of 7,400 shares in Ascendant Group were traded, but with no change to the closing price of $16.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were down $1.05, or 2.18 per cent, at $47.01.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 7.33 points, or 0.27 per cent, at 2,715.88. Meanwhile, the BSX Insurance Index was down 0.79 of a point, or 0.04 per cent, at 1,785.28.
