One positive coronavirus test was among 633 tests results that came back to the health ministry today.

The new case came in on Friday’s Delta flight from the US and was a resident without a pre-departure test.

A spokeswoman for the health ministry said isolation and contact tracing had started.

The news meant Bermuda has recorded 154 confirmed cases of the virus.

There are six active cases and all are being monitored by public health officials.

None are in hospital.

A total of 139 people have recovered and the total number of deaths stands at nine.

The average age of the confirmed cases is 60 and the ages of those infected ranged from 18 to 101.

The average age for fatalities was 74, with an age range from 57 to 91.

A total of 50 cases came in from overseas, 85 were on-island transmissions with known contacts and 19 were on-island transmissions with unknown contacts.

None are under investigation.

Bermuda’s country status is “sporadic cases” and the seven day average of the real time reproduction number is less than 1.
