Registration is now open for the 30th Annual Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon, which is Saturday, 23 June at Clearwater Beach in St. David’s.

Kids aged 3 — 15 have the opportunity to swim, bike and run and a chance to win a $3,000 Iron Kids account. Kids competing in the 11-15 category can compete to win up to $1,000 in an Iron Kids account. There will also be a carnival filled with fun castles, face painting and food.

This year, Clarien Iron Kids is proud to partner with the Bermuda Olympic Association (BOA) to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Olympic Day. The Bermuda Olympic Association will join Clarien Iron Kids at Clearwater Beach on Saturday, 23 June for additional fun, free activities, including rowing, sailing and a 5K walk/run. BOA festivities are from 11:30am — 2pm, with the 5K walk/run beginning at 1pm. Registration is on-site on event day.

Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon registration is available online only and is capped at 400 participants. Registration for Tiny Tots, aged 3-6 is $8. Registration for all other participants, aged 7-15 is $15. Online registration and additional event information is available at www.clarienironkids.com.

All registrations received by 5pm on Friday, 8 June will be entered into a draw for one of two custom fit bicycles courtesy of Bicycle Works. Final registration closes at 5pm on Friday, 22 June (or once the maximum capacity of 400 registrants has been reached). You can also register at the event between 11:00am — 1:30pm.

The Triathlon race details are as follows:

Boys & Girls (Ages 11-15) • 200 meter swim • 5 mile bike • 1 mile run Boys & Girls (Ages 7-10) • 100 meter swim • 2.5 mile bike • 0.5 mile run Tiny Tots (Ages 3-6) • 10 meter swim • 250 meter bike • 50 meter run

All participants must be aged 3 to 15 on 31 December, 2018. Children turning 7 or 11 before 31 December will be required to register in the next age group category.

The Clarien Iron Kids Carnival begins at 12 noon. The triathlon kit pick up is from 11am — 1:30pm. The race begins at 2:30pm.
