Reggie Lambe has left Sky Bet League Two side Carlisle United after not being offered a new contract.

The Bermuda captain is among seven players to have been released by the club, whose manager Keith Curle announced his decision to quit last month after the team failed to reach the play-offs.

Lambe, who signed a new one-year deal at the club last summer, scored six goals in 43 appearances for Carlisle this season, although his barren run in front of goal extends from his brace at home to Wycombe Wanderers in October.

The 27-year-old, who joined Carlisle from Mansfield Town two years ago, struck eight goals in 44 matches for the Cumbrians last term.

Lambe made 73 appearances and scored ten goals for Mansfield during his two seasons at the club, having previously played for Ipswich Town in the Championship, Toronto in Major League Soccer and Nykopings in the third tier of Swedish football.

Carlisle, who finished tenth in the table this season, have offered eight players new contracts, including first-team regulars Nicky Adams, Clint Hill, captain Luke Joyce, Mark Ellis, and teenagers Jack Egan and Jordan Holt.
