Local riders in World Jumping Challenge final

Up and over: Bermuda's Dale Rochester riding Carolina Gold

The final phase of the FEI World Jumping Challenge will take place at the National Equestrian Centre in Devonshire on Saturday.

Wendy Chapot Nunn, of the United States, and Judy Hagen, of Bermuda, will judge the event.

The challenge is unique as it provides local riders with an opportunity to compete against other countries without having to travel overseas. Competitors from ten different zones compete over identical jumping courses designed, this year, by Jaime Morillo of Ecuador.

In addition to a regional team ranking, the competition provides an individual regional and world ranking for each country in all three jumping height categories — category A: 1.20-1.30 metres, category B: 1.10-1.20 and category C: 1.00-1.10.
