Arrests after road accidents
A Smith’s man was arrested, and two others slightly injured, after a three-vehicle collision on North Shore Road.At 4.30pm on Wednesday, two cars and a motorcycle collided near Clarke’s Lane, in Pembroke.The 33-year-old driver of a car was detained by police after failing a breath test. The driver of the motorcycle, a 20-year-old Hamilton Parish man, received minor injuries, along with his passenger, a 20-year-old Devonshire man.The other car driver, a 25-year-old Smith’s woman, was not hurt, but both cars were extensively damaged.At 5.25pm on Wednesday, a 60-year-old Sandys man failed to stop after his car was involved in a damage-only collision with a jeep.The collision occurred on Middle Road, Warwick, near the junction with Burnt House Hill. The other driver, a 29-year-old Sandys woman, was not hurt, but both vehicles were damaged.The driver of the car was subsequently arrested at his home under suspicion of impaired drinking, and detained by police after failing a breath test.
