A man sentenced to 25 years in jail had his conviction overturned yesterday.

Trevone Saltus was convicted in May last year of the murder of Lorenzo Stovell in Sandys in 2012.

Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves sentenced Saltus to life with a minimum term of 25 years.

The Court of Appeal yesterday ordered that Saltus, 29, should be retried.

Saltus was remanded in custody pending a new trial date.
