Dear Sir,

I see that the Royal Bermuda Regiment has a problem with funding. The solution to this shortfall is right in front of us. The money saved by taking from Peter to pay Paul could be used to equip two pilot gigs with large slingshots fore and aft, and strong, able-bodied oarsmen to man these state-of-the-art vessels.

The finance minister could then ask his “Man in Brussels” to lend him a few pounds from his mere pittance to help the regiment.

Case closed.
