A 23-year-old workman sustained a head laceration this afternoon as a result of an accident on a construction site at Tucker’s Town Road, St Georges.

His injuries in the accident, which occurred at about 1pm, are not said to be life-threatening, police reported.

The man remained conscious after falling eight to ten feet from scaffolding. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Government Health and Safety personnel were informed and attended the site.
