Wayne Caines, the Minister of National Security, joined young BHS students today for some light reading.
Mr Caines’ visit included reading Dr Seuss books with a P3 class, and he was presented with a “thank you” card afterwards.
Thanking English teacher Sarah Wheddon, Mr Caines said he enjoyed spending time with young people “in celebration of reading and learning”.
The stopover marked tomorrow’s significance, observed in Bermuda and around the world, as Unesco World Book Day in appreciation of authors, illustrators and reading.
