Philip Correia, Casey Truran and Courtney Bromby came out on top in the first of three competitions that comprise the 2018 FEI World Jumping Challenge at the National Equestrian Centre on Saturday.

The challenge provides local jump-riders with an opportunity to compete in an international setting without having to leave their country. Riders from ten different geographical zones compete over the same course designed by an FEI appointed course designer, who is Jaime Morilla, of Ecuador, this year.

Correia and Emerson secured the top spot in Category A, with Dale Rochester and Vicki Steele also competing.

Casey Truran, on De Le Vega placed first in the Category B

Winning the Category C division was Bromby on Worth the Wait.

Other competitors in the Category C division included Kelsey Amos, Abby Bardgett, Kayla Bardgett, Philip Correia, Brittany Ricca, Emma Stegmann and Liam Zuill.

The next competitions will be held on March 11th and 31st. Spectators are welcome and there is no admission fee.
