Construction work at the United States Consulate is set to impact services, a spokeswoman said today.

She advised those in need of routine services such as US visa and passport renewals to make appointments online “as soon as possible” to avoid delays.

The spokeswoman said: “Construction is under way on the Consulate grounds and is soon expected to impact the Consular Section.

“During this time, our ability to provide routine services will be significantly reduced.

“We encourage those in need of routine consular services to book appointments online as soon as possible.”

She added that emergency services would not be affected.
