For each of our graduating classes, the final year at Mount Saint Agnes Academy is highlighted by school traditions that signify their steady progress towards completing their high school careers.

Our grade 12 students have been anticipating these milestones after watching previous MSA graduates complete them, especially those that began their school life with MSA 13 years ago.

Our alumni will attest that these traditions become the memories that mark their senior year at MSA.

As our students complete their first round of Diploma Exams and prepare to begin their second semester, we would like to look back at some of the key events of the year.

Ring Mass

The Most Reverend Wieslaw Spiewak, Bishop of Hamilton, presided over Mass, with students from grades six to twelve participating.

The senior class selected “Mosaics in Harmony” as their class theme and, as part of the ceremony, they received their school rings that had been blessed by the Bishop.

Ring Mass is the first event that the senior class participates in together each year and it is a bittersweet moment for their families as they begin their final year at MSA.

MSA Bazaar

Always a popular community event, the grade 12 class is responsible for painting and operating the Dunking Booth at the MSA Bazaar. This year, they won the stall decorating contest.

Christmas Tableau

Short for tableau vivant (from French, literally, living picture), MSA’s Tableau is a depiction of the Nativity presented on stage by silent, costumed participants.

This performance is usually the last time that MSA students will perform on the MSA stage.

Upcoming events include the 100-day Countdown, Senior Retreat and Graduation Mass.
