A teenager was seriously injured in a stabbing in Warwick early yesterday.

The 18-year-old victim was attacked in the area of Ord Road and Cherry Lane at about 12.10am.

He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with wounds described as serious.

A police spokesman said that the victim was in stable condition recovering on a general ward.
