Shares totalling more than $118,000 were traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Ascendant Group saw 9,300 of its shares change hands, and some 1,540 shares of BF&M Ltd were also traded, but there was no change to the closing price of either stock.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unmoved at 2,313.29.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were down 11 cents, or 0.27 per cent, at $40.37.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 9.81 points, or 0.54 per cent, at 1,821.9.
