Church to host environment talk
The Roman Catholic Church Diocese of Hamilton in Bermuda will host its final session on environmental issues tomorrow.
A spokeswoman said: “As parishioners for the Roman Catholic Churches of Bermuda, interested in saving God’s creation by taking better care of our environment, this is a call to action, and how we can get involved right here at home.”
The spokeswoman said the event would focus on the “Bermuda perspective”.
Speakers will include Kevin Santucci, who will discuss community gardening, John Paul Skinner, of Waterstart, talking about marine protection, and Stratton Hatfield and Stuart Kriendler, of Be Solar, on solar energy in Bermuda.
The event, being put on by the Peace and Social Justice Committee, is the final activity following a number of initiatives last year aimed at raising environmental awareness.
The free event at St Theresa’s Church hall begins at 7.30pm. All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.
