Man charged with Ferguson murder
A 26-year-old man was charged yesterday with the murder of Colford Ferguson almost seven years ago.
Khyri Smith-Williams, 26, appeared in Magistrates’ Court and was charged with the murder of Mr Ferguson and having a firearm for the purposes of the killing.
Mr Smith-Williams was not required to enter a plea as the case must be heard by the Supreme Court.
Mr Ferguson, a 29-year-old father of one, suffered three gunshot wounds in a daylight shooting on February 4, 2011.
He was doing construction work on a house at the junction of East Shore Road and Somerset Road at the time.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo remanded Smith-Williams in custody until February 1.
