The Royal Gazette’s annual Stanley Ratteray Memorial Christmas Short Story Contest again produced a high standard of writing across all age groups. There were more than 100 entries for the judges to consider, with authors split into under-13, under-18 and adult categories. The winners were: Under-13 — Ashley Swann (third place); Anzjanai Smith (second); Sebastian Tod (first). Under-18 — Kate Tobin; Tomasina Pearman; Kristy Sanchez. Adult — David Fellows; Stephen Notman; Sonja Wells-Slawson. The winning entries will be published in Friday’s newspaper.
