Shares of Butterfield and One fall

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell by more than 1 per cent on falls in the share prices of Butterfield Bank and One Communications Ltd.
Telecommunications group One was the most actively traded stock on the Bermuda Stock Exchange and fell 24 cents, or 8 per cent, to close on $2.75, as 133,233 shares changed hands.
Butterfield dipped 45 cents, or 1.2 per cent, to close on $37.55, as 7,781 shares traded. The bank’s New York Stock Exchange-listed shares gained 53 cents, or 1.4 per cent, to close on $37.71.
The index fell 23.54 points to close the week on 2,201.09. Trading volume was 141,014 shares, while turnover totalled $658,443,25.
The BSX Insurance Index had a strongly positive day, gaining 32.05 points, or 1.76 per cent, to close on 1,851.17.
