Tenders sought for Anchorage Road
The Bermuda Housing Corporation (BHC) is sseking tenders from contractors for the upgrading of four houses on Anchorage Road, St. George's.
On March 26, it was reported that units seven, nine, 11 and 13 on Anchorage Road, were going to be renovated.
Then on May 27, the BHC did an about face and decided not to sell the houses after refurbishment.
The advertisement, which ran this week in The Royal Gazette was titled: Pre-Qualification of Contractors: Construction Project”.
It read: “The Bermuda Housing Corporation invites contractors interested in the refurbishment and additions to four apartment buildings, each consisting of four units, retaining walls, infrastructure, and landscaping works”.
According to the plans submitted to the Department of Planning four months ago, “additional bedrooms, bathrooms, access stairs and water tanks are to be built for each unit”.
