Learning the qualities of being a good leader
Being Head Boy in this twentieth anniversary is such a great honour, and I want to first thank those from the past for paving the way for us.
Furthermore, to be a Head Prefect in this day and age means to first learn how to work with various ideas and people. You must also learn the main qualities of how to be a good leader.
It does take time like most things in life, but it is definitely worth the effort. From my experience throughout my years in CedarBridge Academy and from all my learning and growth, I found out which characteristics make a good leader. One main characteristic I would like to mention is that you must ensure that as a leader, you do not just lead followers, but you ensure that you nurture them to their full potential so they become leaders themselves.
There are so many characteristics that I want future leaders to discover for themselves, but these characteristics I mentioned are just the peanut butter to the PB&J sandwich of being a great leader!
To be a great leader, you need to remember to remain who you are. No one can be uniquely you other than yourself, so my last advice to future leaders is; you should remain true to yourself. Make sure to separate yourselves from other leaders and lead your own way. Being true to yourself will help you better connect with others and improve yourself as a leader overall. This will not only make being a leader easier but life easier!
Moreover with life, in my future career after CedarBridge Academy, I plan to study nursing back home in the country of the Philippines. I plan to work my way to become a Registered Nurse. Furthermore, once working in that field, I would like to spend more time in school in order to become a doctor. The reasons why I chose this career path is because I love helping out people and I always had an interest in the science or biology aspect of school. I believe I have truly found my dream career and I hope others will to.
