Butterfield shares up in New York

Butterfield Bank was the only stock that traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
After reporting third quarter profit of $41.1 million, and announcing a planned acquisition of Deutsche Bank’s Global Trust Solutions, the bank’s shares closed unchanged at $35.85 after 462 were traded.
However, on the New York Stock Exchange the bank’s shares ended 73 cents higher, or 2.04 per cent, at $36.54.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 2,122.13.
The BSX Insurance Index was down 7.76 points, or 0.4 per cent at 1,943.15.
