CableVision pitches in

CABLEVISION announced yesterday it had stepped in to offer a special package showing the West Indies cricket tour to South Africa on its Pay-Per-View system (channel 76).

And as well as broadcasting the matches live starting in the early hours of the morning, the company will also be replaying each match on a delayed system starting at noon each day.

The tour, which started on December 12 with the first Test, ends on February 4. The special package costs $100.

Jeremy Elmas, CableVision's general manager, said: "We are pleased to bring this premier cricket event to Bermuda households and hope that cricket fans will take advantage of this viewing opportunity. It will be great entertainment particularly over the holiday period."

Customers interested in signing up for the package should call 292-5544 between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

The schedule of all the matches is on CableVision's web site www.cablevision.bm
