Butterfield Bank shares gained 0.4 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.

The bank rose 15 cents to close at a new 52-week high of $36.40 on the trading of 2,322 shares.

Butterfield’s New York Stock Exchange-listed shares rose 38 cents, or 1.06 per cent, to end the day at $36.65.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index climbed 6.75 points, or 0.3 per cent, to close at 2,155.64.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 7.24 points, or 0.4 per cent, to close at 1,871.
