Fashion Festival ready for the runway
A week of activities are being planned for the 2017 Bermuda Fashion Festival as the event celebrates its eighth year.
The annual event, produced by the City of Hamilton, is set to feature three international fashion shows highlighting work by local and international designers.
Danilee Trott, the event project manager, said the festival is a change of pace from the city’s usual summer fashion events.
She said: “We are looking forward to the new dynamics and interesting designs that fall fashion will bring.
“Our social event calendar has taken on a new twist that is season appropriate and we are excited about the range of opportunities that will be presented to Bermuda and of course our international guests”.
Thomas Lightbourne, the lead event coordinator, added: “This year promises to be epic, filled with even better versions of your favourite shows and exciting new social events.”
The official opening of the Festival will be MASK’D, a masquerade ball hosted in partnership with The Loren.
The ball will be followed on October 29 with the Evolution Retail Show, the Float Fashion Cruise on October 30 and the International Designer Show on November 1.
A local designer show will be held on November 3, followed by the Bermuda Fashion Expo on November 4.
Tickets for the various events — along with “passports” offering access to multiple events — are already on sale at www.ptix.bm.
