A 50-year-old Hamilton Parish man charged with attempted robbery and three counts of burglary was today remanded in custody.

Winslow Williams was also accused of two counts of assault and one charge of causing grievous bodily harm in a bid to stop his lawful arrest or detention.

In addition, he was charged in Magistrates’ Court with prowling about a home and taking a vehicle without consent.

The offences are alleged to have taken place on various dates in Smith’s, Hamilton Parish, Devonshire and Southampton between September 2 and September 9.

Mr Williams was not required to enter a plea because the charges must be heard in Supreme Court.

The case was adjourned to the October 2 arraignments session.
